History
Panel Rey is a Mexican company with a global vision and a state of the art technology, that offers its customers a complete, light-weight construction system. This system uses galvanized steel as its framework.

In 1986, the Promax Group opens the Panel Rey plant, located in El Carmen, Nuevo León, México, two hours south of Laredo, Texas. This plant has its own quarries of plaster rock of the highest purity.

With the same purpose of providing raw materials of the best quality Zinc Nacional, a sister company of Panel Rey, opens a Paper Plant in 1999, whose main objective is to provide Panel Rey with one of its primary materials.

Panel Rey products exceed the ASTM specifications. This helped position the company as a strong leader in the national market. It has also gained increased recognition entering markets in the United States, Canada, Central and South America. Panel Rey’s clear vision and experience has enabled it to foresee the future needs in the construction industry, allowing it to renovate the conventional constructive system.

Panel Rey’s constant rise in leadership and experience contributed to the opening of a second production line. This 100% automated line positions Panel Rey as the biggest and greatest producer of drywall in Latin America.
